Hey everybody!
Ellie, Mere, and I had an AMAZING time in Paris! Seeing Ellie's face light up like it did when she first saw the Eiffel tower was one of the coolest moments I've had so far being a daddy. Furthermore, it was important for Mere and me to share our love for Paris with Ellie, and I love how much Ellie already loves this city. Her brain was a sponge as we taught her about culture there (here's a nerdy side note: I was on French Culture Bowl in high school, and won first place at foreign language field day for French vocab or reading or something...)
Here are some of my favorite touristy dad pics from the city:
Ellie rode the same carousel that Mere and I photographed an engagement session at before...
We saw some cool things...
Some weird things...
Some famous things (the Notre Dame)...
Took a foot shot (of course)...
Saw s'more famous things (Shakespeare and Company - I took this pic just in case Ellie becomes an English teacher like her daddy used to be)...
Went inside and bought a book...
At the Champs Elysees...
Stood in front of more famous things (the Arc de Triomphe)...
In Monte Martre, found the Je T'aime Wall (the wall of I love yous)
Found one we could read...
Mere took a killer shot of Sacre Coeur as we ate banana-nutella crepes...
Enjoying a lunch at a french cafe...
Full of love (can you read her shirt?)...
Had some world-famous Berthillon's ice cream...
Headed back to the Eiffel Tower at night...
My favorite shot of the trip - totally made it all worthwhile - Ellie seeing the Eiffel Tower SPARKLE (she knew it lit up, but didn't know the top-of-the-hour tradition)...
Happy. Family.
Thanks for reading! Ellie, Mere, and I appreciate you!
Talk to you soon,
Dale
