I'm excited to share Josh and Jamie's wedding with you, but I'm even MORE excited to share Meredith's near-run-in-with-the-law during the wedding portrait session.
As we were photographing the couple portraits after the wedding ceremony...
We were interrupted by a weird-government-cop-guy.
Apparently we were on a state-owned building.
Weird-government-cop-guy: You can't shoot here.
Me: Oh, really???
Weird-government-cop-guy: We've seen you shoot here before.
Me: Yeah, I shoot downtown all the time.
Weird-government-cop-guy: Well, this is a federal building and you're tresspassing.
Me: I thought this was the public sidewalk (it was on Markham, right across the street from the Peabody).
Weird-government-cop-guy: No.
Fast forward 5 minutes when we moved by the street.
Weird-government-cop-guy: HEY!! MA'AM!!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!!!
(Meredith looks behind her for a murderer or drug dealer or prostitute... she finds nothing)
Apparently the Weird-government-cop-guy didn't want Meredith photographing the wedding couple near the building.
But...
At least we got a laugh out of it.
Alas, we crossed the street and got a couple more pretty wedding portraits of our adventurous couple.
Tomorrow I'll be sharing more from the wedding day!
Talk to you soon,
Dale
