Austin Engagement Portraits at LBJ Wildflower Center

Hey everybody!<br /><br />Though we couldn't photograph Candice's New Orleans wedding, they still wanted us to photograph their engagement - YAY! The Houston natives met us in Austin at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and we started shooting. And then I saw it: a big ol' cactus! Then, I had the following conversation with myself:<br /><br />Me: "You've never shot an engagement shoot with a cactus."<br />Me: "I know! How cool would that be?!"<br />Me: "Yeah, but won't your couple think you're weird?"<br />Me: "Eh, maybe. Austin TX Wedding of Ashlee and Tiago

Hey everybody!<br /><br />My favorite part of Ashlee and Tiago's wedding was all the cultural traditions they brought together into their ceremony and reception. It was such a blast, and of course Mere and I think Ashlee and Tiago are about as sweet as honey, so all in all... pretty good day!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.benfieldphoto.com/12Blog/0321_ashlee/austin_tx_wedding_photographer_00.jpg"><img alt="Wedding in Austin, TX by Benfield Photography" border="0" src="http://www.benfieldphoto.com/12Blog/0321_ashlee/austin_tx_wedding_photographer_00.jpg" style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 800px;" /></a><br /><br />I love Tiago's reaction as he kisses his new bride. Mere and I had the honor of transporting the couple to the reception (this happens a lot, actually!). St. Patrick's Day Wedding in Austin TX

Hey everybody!<br /><br />St. Patrick's Day is a GREAT day to get married! I know... because I did! Meredith and I celebrated our 1-year anniversary by photographing two people who are insanely in love get married. It was pretty precious, really. Ashlee's Austin Bridal Portraits

Hey everybody!<br /><br />If you haven't heard, Meredith and I are in Austin for work. Yeah, it's SXSW here, which makes traffic atrocious, hotel prices astronomical, and reservations impossible (it'd be better if we were actually going to SXSW). We've been here since Wednesday because our lovely bride, Ashlee, really wanted to do bridal portraits (yay for her!!). We also had an engagement shoot on Thursday of another couple, so I'll post those soon.<br /><br />Ashlee's bridal portraits were photographed at the Austin Capitol, and it is such a lovely location for pictures! We photographed both inside and outside since the weather was nice, and I seriously just adore her bridal portraits!
